Our Power and Low Carbon Solutions Practice are looking for an experienced Product Analytics Engineer to join the team. We are excited to be hiring a new Energy Analytics Product Engineer (Python) to join our Energy Source Analytics Platform team. The right candidate will be building the market-leading platform for large energy users to drive decarbonisation decision-making across their power portfolio.

Baringa's Energy Source analytics platform provides market-leading analytics and insight for major energy user power positions. It facilitates optimisation and risk management across the entire power position including demand, hedging, long-term contracts and PPAs. Energy Source only investment-grade solutions for energy strategy, execution and risk management.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design and implement components of the calculation engine using Python, ensuring robust and efficient computational logic.
  • Plan and manage Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, including writing test cases, coordinating with users, and ensuring the product meets functional expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, developers, and energy market specialists, to ensure technical alignment with user needs.
  • Document technical decisions and development processes, supporting both internal knowledge.
