Our Health team are looking for an experienced Manager to join them. We are looking for a high‑agency Manager who leads by doing. You won’t just talk about AI transformation; you will build the prototypes and demos that make it tangible for healthcare leaders. You are the bridge between technical feasibility (CDIOs) and clinical/operational utility (Doctors and Transformation Leads), using live demos and MCPs to “let the tools do the talking.”
What you will be doing
- Technical & Clinical Bridging: Lead complex discussions with CDIOs and IT leads regarding technical integration (e.g., security, latency, MCPs) while simultaneously engaging Doctors and Transformation Leads on clinical safety and workflow efficiency.
- Demo‑Led Pitching: Replace abstract theory with live, hands‑on demonstrations. You will develop and deliver GenAI demos for executive training that prove value in real‑time, handling sceptical stakeholders through evidence‑based technical “show and tell.”
- Collateral Development: Create high‑quality pitch decks and transformation roadmaps that are grounded in technical reality, not just consulting frameworks.
- Active Prototyping: Directly build and configure use cases in Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot. You are expected to be “under the hood” of these tools daily.
- Technical Connectivity (MCP): Implementation of Model Context Protocols to demonstrate how AI can securely and effectively interact with health data environments and external tools.
- Horizon Scanning: Maintain a deep, “practitioner‑level” understanding of the latest GenAI releases, specifically focusing on how new features (like Claude’s Computer Use or GPT’s Advanced Voice) apply to a pressurised NHS environment.
- Practice Contribution: Actively contribute to Baringa’s internal AI adoption initiatives. Share “what works” from the field to help upskill the broader Health practice and refine our internal AI toolkits.
- Tool‑Based Coaching: Mentor junior team members not just in “prompting,” but in the effective application of AI tools and technical development. You will teach them how to evaluate model performance and select the right tool for the specific health use case.
Your skills and experience
- Experience navigating senior client environments. You are comfortable being challenged by a CDIO on data privacy or by a Surgeon on clinical accuracy.
- You understand how the NHS (or wider Government) actually functions. You know that a great AI tool is useless if it doesn’t fit into the clinical workflow or meet Information Governance (IG) standards.
- Deep, hands‑on experience with at least one major AI ecosystem. You have delivered use cases at scale—moving from a playground environment to a project that has been rolled out to users.
- You enjoy lifting the hood and showing others how to build. You are a coach who empowers juniors to become technical practitioners themselves.
- You have a healthy skepticism of AI hype. You focus on the impact and constraints of the technology, ensuring expectations are managed through real‑world performance.
