The Role
At @one Alliance, we bring together eight leading organisations to deliver Anglian Waters capital investment programme across the East of England. Together, we're delivering projects to help protect and improve one of the UKs most important resources - water. As a Graduate Electrical Engineer you'll be part of this exciting programme from the start, gaining hands-on experience of Process Engineering across major infrastructure projects. You'll work alongside experienced Engineering professionals building your knowledge, developing your skills and working towards a successful career in Electrical Engineering. You'll be supported throughout your development, with opportunities to build your technical knowledge, gain professional experience and work towards your longer-term career goals. We welcome applications from candidates outside the region who are willing and able to relocate or travel to Peterborough and the East Anglia Region.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to attend a number of assessment centres taking place on the following dates: 20th November, 11th December, 6th January, 8th January, 11th January, 15th January, and 18th January.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of electrical systems, including power distribution, automation, and instrumentation.
- Assist with the specification and selection of electrical equipment.
- Work closely with civil, mechanical, and process engineering teams.
- Carry out site surveys, commissioning, and technical inspections.
- Support with documentation, reports, and health & safety compliance.
- Engage with contractors, clients (e.g. Anglian Water), and supply chain partners throughout project lifecycles.
About you
Essential:
- A 2:2 degree or above BEng or MEng/MSc in Electrical Engineering.
- Solid and strong evidence in a project engineering environment in relevant engineering discipline.
- Detailed technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of inter-related engineering disciplines.
- Work in an open and collaborative way practice integrated working with all Alliance teams and the client.
- Apply rigour to key projects and tasks that require accurate and timely delivery and decision making.
- The ability to organise your workload and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
- An interest in infrastructure, construction or the built environment.
- A full UK driving licence, or the ability to travel between project locations where required.
