The Role

We’re the @one Alliance – a ground-breaking collaboration between Anglian Water and seven industry-leading partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. Together, we deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. As we ramp up in AMP8, our most ambitious period yet, we’re delivering an even broader range of innovative, environmentally driven infrastructure projects – from urban drainage to nature-based solutions such as constructed wetlands.

As part of the @one Alliance, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our construction activities not only meet environmental legislation but set the benchmark for best practice. You’ll work closely with site teams, providing expert guidance and hands-on support, while helping to develop and mentor our Environment and Sustainability Advisors. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on and provide support to construction projects on environmental and sustainability issues, including producing site-specific project documentation and communicating this to the relevant personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with current environmental legislation and promote best practices relevant to @one Alliance.
  • Undertake Site Set Up, Environmental Audits and other audits as required.
  • Undertake CEIRs on site on a frequency determined by the environmental risk of the scheme.
  • Lead in the reporting of CAT2, CAT3 incidents and CAT4 / Near miss reports and assist with CAT1 investigations.
  • Review project documentation, including PEMPs, produced by the Environment and Sustainability Advisors.
  • Bring new ideas and sustainable technologies from the partner company into the @one Alliance.

Essential:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in environmental related subject.
  • Demonstrable subject matter expertise in contaminated land, statutory nuisance, waste management, soil testing, ecology, archaeology, and incident investigation.
  • Practitioner or Full Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Experience in writing reports and dashboard production.
  • Document production abilities using various software inc., excel, Word, GIS, and PowerPoint.
