Who are the IOS Alliance?

Barhale is one of three delivery partners within the Anglian Water Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance.

IOS is a medium to high complexity, capital maintenance and enhancement, Civil and MEICA, design and build delivery unit working across Water and Water Recycling to support the successful implementation of the Anglian Water AMP 8 business plan.

The Role

The industrial electrician will be part of our installation teams working on the Integrated

Operational Solutions (IOS) Framework for the Anglian Water AMP 8 Programme.

This role requires electrical equipment to be installed predominantly at Anglian Water clean water and wastewater sites, ensuring health and safety are always adhered to and that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical equipment for water treatment works (Anglian Water) to Barhale standards.
  • Work with and have input into risk assessments and method statements to ensure health and safety are always strictly adhered to.
  • Competent to work directly from drawings and scopes of work to a high standard.
  • Experienced in industrial installations, including but not limited to steel containment, power, and ICA wiring, telemetry & fault finding.
  • Keen to fulfil customers’ targets, involving overtime when required.
  • Able to mentor improvers and apprentices.
  • To assist with commissioning and testing installations.
  • Ensure that you are following all company and client rules.
  • Actively engage with management in the planning, organising and delivering work.
  • Assist site teams with the requisitioning of materials and equipment promptly.
  • Assist team leaders with day-to-day operations on site.
  • Identify site issues and report to team leaders to ensure resolution.
  • Deliver projects to water industry standards within the IOS Framework, on time and to budget.
  • Willing to work away from home for short periods (Project & training dependent)

Essential

  • Enthusiastic and ambitious personality
  • Time served as an electrical apprentice.
  • Experience in electrical installations associated with the water industry.
  • CSCS ECS Gold Card
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • C&G 2391 Qualified (or current equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication, both verbal and written
  • Able to work under your initiative, as well as within teams.
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable in electrical installations.
