The Role
To operate/carry out all relevant duties in excavator driving and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a 360 excavator
- Digging trenches, foundations, and other excavation work
- Loading and unloading materials
- Ensuring that the excavator is properly maintained
- Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise
- Communicating with other operators, contractors, and clients to ensure the project is on track
- Setting up and preparing the site for excavation work
- Engage with the General foreman and expected to take responsibility to participate in other works if no excavator work is available
- Reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints
- Conducting pre-operational checks on the excavator
