As Development Engineer, you will be keen to broaden your experience beyond engineering design, gaining exposure to the full scope of site development. This includes considering factors such as ecology, arboriculture, building regulations, brand aesthetics, and value engineering as part of a holistic design approach.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing Technical Feasibility Reports for new developments
  • Identifying design risks and technical constraints
  • Conducting buildability and regulatory compliance reviews
  • Providing value engineering recommendations
  • Reviewing and coordinating technical aspects of planning applications
  • Supporting due diligence processes in collaboration with the wider Land & Planning team
  • Attending site visits and meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Please note: This role focuses on reviewing and critiquing third-party consultant designs—no hands-on design work is required.

Skills & Experience

  • This position is well suited to candidates with a HND or degree in Civil Engineering, or those with 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with Bluebeam PDF Editor (desirable)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and deadline awareness
