Barfoots is seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to join our busy production and site engineering department. This is a fixed Night shift role (Mon - Thurs, 6pm - 6am).
To enable us to continue meeting high industry demands and maintain the highest levels of quality and customer service, we are keen to hear from suitably skilled and experienced engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance through Agility CMMS, book out all parts used and ensure any food safety compliance records are completed.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in preventative maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all Food Safety, Health and Safety and good working practices.
Requirements:
- Relevant engineering qualifications and/or industry experience in either mechanical or multiskilled engineering.
- Able to perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Effective communication skills, English speaking and writing to at least level 2.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience of working within a FMCG / Fresh food manufacturing.
- Time served apprenticeship in either mechanical, electrical or multiskilled discipline.
- Previous experience with CMMS.
- Competence in fault finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of pneumatics/ hydraulic systems.
