The Role
We're looking for a proactive IT Infrastructure/Systems Engineer to join our friendly and collaborative IT team.
Reporting to the Head of Technology, you'll be responsible for maintaining and developing our IT infrastructure while delivering projects that improve performance, security and the user experience.

- What You'll Be Doing
- Administer and maintain Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.
- Support core infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, firewalls, backups and cloud services.
- Proactively monitor systems to maximise availability, performance and resilience.
- Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations, technology refreshes and improvement projects.
- Design, implement and support LAN, WAN, wireless and secure remote access solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and technical issues.
- Apply cyber security best practices across identity, devices, patching and endpoint protection.
- Automate processes and identify opportunities to improve systems and user experience.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rota supporting critical business systems (approximately one week in six).
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator or senior IT support role.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft 365 and enterprise networking.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Experience
- Windows Server 2019/2022/2025, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
- VMware v Sphere/ESXi configuration and administration.
- Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Share Point Online and Microsoft Teams.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and identity management.
- Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot and endpoint management.
- Cisco networking, VLANs, TCP/IP, wireless networking and network troubleshooting.
- Firewall administration (Forti Gate preferred)
- Backup technologies (preferably Veeam), disaster recovery
- Infrastructure monitoring and patch management.
Desirable
- Microsoft, VMware or Cisco certifications.
- Experience delivering infrastructure refreshes, cloud migrations or digital transformation projects.
- Knowledge of ITIL and experience supporting ERP, telephony or other business-critical systems.
