Warehouse Operatives Full time. DAY SHIFT positions, 4 days on, 4 days off. With various opportunities across our sites, duties and responsibilities will be centred around our busy Logistics departments. Working as part of a team, our warehouse operators and forklift drivers assist with the safe transfer of produce to and from production and storage areas, as well as picking & packing orders and loading/unloading delivery vehicles utilizing PPE and forklift trucks where necessary. You will be confident working in a busy, temperature controlled, warehouse environment and manoeuvring goods around safely both inside and out. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be passionate about providing a first class service at all times and be responsible for ensuring all operational warehousing tasks are completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Opportunities could be either Sefter Farm or Leythorne site based.
Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading of delivery vehicles
- Ensure safe transfer/locating of finished products to despatch from production
- Ensure safe transfer/locating of raw materials
- To be trained for all warehousing area duties across both Leythorne and Sefter sites
- Adherence to all trained SOPs
- Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction with zero errors
- To operate clean as you go principles whilst carrying out duties
- To maintain high standards of health and safety in all operating areas
- Hazards and accidents reported to the manager in a timely manner
- Focus on continuous improvements
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Fresh Produce or FMCG Warehousing environment (Preferred)
- Forklift / Counter Balance Licence and experience utilising MHE preferable
- Able to communicate effectively using basic verbal English
- Confident and proactive with experience working to deadlines
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment
- Be an effective Team Player
