The Role

A great opportunity for a committed and organised team player to join our busy Planning Team. Applications are invited from reliable and proactive individuals, capable of operating efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic working environment. Reporting directly to the Forecast Manager, candidates will have strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail, capable of working effectively both on and off site. The Forecast Analyst will provide sales forecasts to assist in the planning of labour, capacity, procurement and other resources within the business. Working collaboratively as key point of communication between Planning, Procurement and Commercial teams to drive visibility of volumes, and help alleviate any potential volume related challenges. As a strong team player, with excellent communication skills, candidates will be adaptable to changing environments with a smart thinking and logical approach to help drive continuous improvement within the value chain. This would be an ideal role for those with existing FMCG experience with an analytical focus looking to progress their careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of customer forecast and forecast accuracy files
  • Review and publication of daily forecast variances
  • Management of forecast trackers for our foodservice customers
  • Dealing with ad hoc queries from Commercial, Planning and Procurement teams
  • Updating year-on-year volume trackers to assess volume trends in business
  • Uploading forecast data into our ERP system weekly
  • Monitoring promotional performance and maintaining promotional calendar
  • Modelling promotions with Commercial team based on historical data/commercial insight
  • Maintain forecasting Masterfile, logging/cleansing as appropriate
  • Monitoring new product pipeline and adding volumes to forecast where appropriate
  • Providing weekly reports with commentary on the drivers behind forecast accuracy

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Previous planning or production experience within Fresh Produce or FMCG environment - preferred
  • Relevant qualification or experience in Supply Chain/Planning - preferred
  • Knowledge/experience of working with ERP/MRP systems - an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, particularly EXCEL
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Pursuit of continuous improvement
