A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Support Engineer to join our busy production and site engineering department. To enable us to continue meeting high industry demands and to maintain and exceed the highest levels of quality and customer service expected, we are keen to hear from suitably skilled and experienced engineering professionals who may be interested in joining our team.

Working with night shift Production Support Engineer(s) to ensure complete routine maintenance across our factories. Duties will include performing planned & preventative maintenance according to schedule, including greasing/lubrication & checks on wear on mechanical components, condition and operation of guarding and other safety components. The Production Support Engineer will conduct inspections, routine servicing and pre-emptive repairs, including changing of blades and other consumables on production machines, and assisting the team with other broader repairs and planned works. This is a fixed Night shift role (Mon - Thurs, 6pm – 6am).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance through Agility CMMS, book out all parts used and ensure any food safety compliance records are completed.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements in preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all Food Safety, Health and Safety and good working practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Relevant engineering qualifications and/or industry experience in either mechanical or multiskilled engineering.
  • Able to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, English speaking and writing to at least level 2.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Previous experience of working within a FMCG / Fresh food manufacturing.
  • Time served apprenticeship in either mechanical, electrical or multiskilled discipline.
  • Previous experience with CMMS.
  • Competence in fault finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulic systems.
