Hygiene Operative

We are seeking a Hygiene Operative to ensure high standards of cleanliness across our production machinery, plant, and facilities. The role involves high and low-level cleaning of walls, floors, fittings, drains, and other equipment, working across all production areas to maintain strict hygiene standards at all times.

Please note: This position involves working in a temperature-controlled environment (3 to 5ºC), periods of long standing, and occasional heavy lifting.

Current vacancies are on day shifts, following a 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deep cleaning of production areas and equipment
  • Maintaining accurate cleaning records
  • Ensuring a safe working environment
  • Keeping hygiene tools clean, fit for purpose, and properly stored
  • Storing cleaning chemicals correctly
  • Reporting hygiene or food safety concerns
  • Adhering to COSHH regulations, health, safety, and company policies
  • Supporting the hygiene team as needed
  • Focusing on continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in cleaning and hygiene work
