Job Overview

As a Barista at The Open Championship 2026, you will be part of a fast-paced hospitality team serving thousands of spectators, corporate guests, event staff, and hospitality clients throughout one of the world's most prestigious sporting events. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold beverages in a busy event environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of coffees, teas, specialty beverages, and cold drinks to company standards.
  • Operate commercial coffee machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming and professional experience for guests.
  • Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, service areas, and equipment.
  • Replenish stock, cups, milk, syrups, and other consumables throughout service.
  • Follow food safety, allergen awareness, and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including equipment checks and cleaning schedules.
  • Work collaboratively with catering, hospitality, and event operations teams to ensure smooth service during peak trading periods.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve minor issues professionally and efficiently.
