About the Role

Barfection Events is looking for experienced, professional, and polished Front of House Staff to join our team working within a prestigious high-end hotel in Liverpool. This role is ideal for confident hospitality professionals who take pride in delivering exceptional service in an elegant hotel environment. You will play a key role in creating an outstanding guest experience, with a strong emphasis on food service, table service, and attentive guest care. You’ll be expected to deliver service to a consistently high standard, from welcoming guests and taking orders through to serving food, clearing tables, and ensuring every guest receives attentive and professional service throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional front of house service to hotel guests and event attendees
  • Welcome guests professionally and create a warm, polished first impression
  • Provide attentive table and food service throughout each guest’s experience
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and confidently
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high service standards
  • Have a strong knowledge of menu items and confidently answer guest questions
  • Ensure food is delivered to the correct guest and presented to an excellent standard
  • Monitor tables throughout service and anticipate guests’ needs
  • Clear and reset tables quickly, quietly, and professionally
  • Maintain immaculate standards of table presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, private dining, functions, and hotel events
  • Support with service preparation, setup, and breakdown
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, supervisors, and wider hotel team
  • Handle guest requests professionally and escalate any issues when required
  • Follow all hotel procedures, food hygiene requirements, and health & safety standards
  • Represent Barfection Events with a professional, positive, and service-focused attitude at all times

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in hospitality, waiting, hotel, or restaurant service is essential
  • Experience with food and table service is highly desirable
  • Confident taking orders and serving food to guests
  • Professional, polished, and well-presented
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working within a high-end hotel or luxury hospitality environment
  • Able to maintain a calm and professional approach during busy services
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a professional team
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working busy shifts
  • Flexible availability, particularly for evenings, weekends, and hotel functions, is highly desirable
