About the Role: We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Daytime Coffee Shop Manager to lead our weekday café operations at Heima. This is a floor-based role where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, high-quality food and drink, and a smooth, welcoming experience for every guest. You’ll be responsible for leading the team, maintaining standards, and keeping the café running efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being actively involved in service while also taking on leadership responsibility within a growing independent business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the café, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Lead weekday daytime service and maintain a calm, efficient flow
- Supervise, support, and motivate the café team
- Prepare and serve coffee and food to a consistently high standard
- Manage stock, place orders, and minimise waste
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Support café events and collaborate with the evening team when needed
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
About You:
Essential:- Experience in a café or hospitality environment
- Confidence in running shifts independently
- Experience preparing food in a commercial setting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on, and dependable approach
- Right to work in the UK
- Barista training or experience
- Food hygiene certification
