Overview

We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Barista to join our busy coffee shop in Bradford. The ideal candidate will have a passion for great coffee, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and deliver exceptional service with a friendly, professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty items.
• Handle customer orders efficiently at the till and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Ensure consistent drink quality through accurate grinding, tamping, extraction, and milk texturing.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the coffee bar, seating areas, and equipment in line with health & safety standards.
• Restock products, manage inventory levels, and rotate stock following FIFO procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the team to manage busy rush periods smoothly and maintain excellent customer flow.
• Provide product knowledge, recommend items, and handle customer queries professionally.
• Follow all store procedures including cash handling, allergen awareness, and waste reduction practices.

Skills & Experience

• Previous barista or hospitality experience preferred, but full training can be provided.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive, approachable attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and passion for quality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and early mornings.
