Baresca Tapas is an independent, family-run restaurant & bar group built on genuine hospitality, great tapas, and even better people. We’re excited to be bringing the spirit of Barcelona to Mere Green and are looking for an experienced, driven, and people-focused Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen for our new opening. This is a hands-on leadership role for a Sous Chef who thrives on standards, consistency, and developing strong kitchen teams, while delivering food to exact brand specification from day one.

The Role:
- Support the Head Chef in the successful opening and day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Deliver food quality, presentation, and consistency in line with Baresca standards
- Lead service in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring pace, accuracy, and communication
- Help recruit, train, and develop a strong kitchen team with a focus on attitude and values
- Support ordering, stock control, GP, and kitchen cost management
- Ensure all allergen, food safety, and due diligence systems are followed accurately
- Maintain high standards to support a 5* Environmental Health rating
- Work closely with the Head Chef, General Manager, and wider team to deliver heartfelt hospitality
- Contribute to menu development and specials

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Passionate about fresh food, standards, and consistency
