Baresca Tapas is a busy, independent, family-run restaurant in Nottingham, built on genuine hospitality and great people. We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and play a key role in the running of our kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role for a Sous Chef who thrives on standards, consistency, and teamwork, and who is ready to take real responsibility in a values-led business.

The Role:

  • Support the Head Chef in the successful day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Lead by example, maintaining pace, accuracy, and clear communication
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet Baresca standards
  • Help train and develop the kitchen team
  • Support ordering, stock control, GP, and waste management
  • Ensure allergen, food safety, and due diligence systems are followed

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP
  • Passionate about fresh food and high standards
  • Calm, reliable, and people-focused
  • Takes ownership and leads by example
