Baresca Tapas is an independent, family-run restaurant & bar group built on genuine hospitality, great tapas, and even better people. We're excited to be bringing the spirit of Barcelona to Mere Green and are looking for a passionate, charismatic, and hands-on Bar Manager to lead the bar for our new opening.

This is a key leadership role within the business, ideal for someone with a genuine passion for high-end cocktails, premium drinks, and creating an exceptional guest experience. You will lead from the front, build a strong and engaged bar team, and help establish Baresca as one of the area's go-to restaurant & bar destinations from day one.

The Role

  • Lead the opening and day-to-day running of the bar operation
  • Deliver exceptional cocktails, drinks quality, and service standards in line with the Baresca brand
  • Create a vibrant, welcoming, and energetic bar atmosphere
  • Lead from the floor during service, ensuring pace, consistency, and guest engagement
  • Recruit, train, and develop a knowledgeable and passionate bar team
  • Drive high standards across cocktails, wines, spirits, cleanliness, and presentation
  • Manage stock control, ordering, GP, wastage, and bar margins effectively
  • Work closely with the General Manager and kitchen team to deliver a seamless guest experience
  • Support cocktail development, seasonal drinks menus, and premium serves
  • Ensure all licensing, allergen, food safety, and due diligence procedures are followed correctly

About You

  • Proven experience in a premium bar management or senior bar leadership role
  • A genuine passion for cocktails, premium spirits, wines, and hospitality
  • Strong cocktail knowledge with high standards of service and presentation
  • A natural host who connects easily with guests and creates memorable experiences
  • Calm, organised, and confident in a busy service environment
  • Leads by example with positivity, kindness, and energy
  • Commercially aware with experience managing stock and GP
  • Excited by the opportunity to build and lead a bar team from the ground up
