We’re excited to be bringing the spirit of Barcelona to Mere Green and are looking for an experienced, driven, and people-focused Head Chef to lead the kitchen for our new opening and take full ownership of the food operation.
This is a hands‑on senior leadership role for a Head Chef who thrives on standards, consistency, and developing strong kitchen teams, while delivering food to exact brand specification from day one.

The Role:
- Lead the successful opening and day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Take full ownership of food quality, presentation and consistency in line with Baresca standards
- Lead service from the pass, controlling pace, accuracy, and communication
- Recruit, train, and develop a strong kitchen team with a focus on attitude and values
- Manage ordering, stock control, GP, and kitchen budgets
- Ensure all allergen, food safety, and due diligence systems are followed accurately
- Achieve and maintain a 5* Environmental Health rating
- Work closely with the General Manager and directors to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Contribute to menu development, specials, and continuous improvement across the group
About You:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef
- Passionate about fresh food, standards, and consistency
- A calm, organised leader who develops people
- Commercially aware with strong GP and cost control experience
- Takes full ownership and pride in their kitchen and team
Let’s break the package down:
- Up to £40,000 base salary
- Up to £6,000 achievable performance bonus
