About the role

  • Pay Rate – £12.71
  • Location – Ross on Wye, Leominster, Worcester
  • Shift Timings – Full time, Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 17:15

Must have a drivers license and vehicle as you must be willing to drive 90 mins from home to site.

You will be working in a site-based role within the public sector, where officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both staff and visitors. Your main responsibilities may include:

  • Trained to provide relief cover and support to a portfolio of locations within a geographical region.
  • All the tasks and activities as per the site operational guidance and Assignment Instructions.
  • Provide quality service delivery.
  • Manage and maintain a safe environment for the client’s staff and customers.
  • Provide a proactive presence in all public facing areas as activity requires.
  • This will include providing a positive initial reception for clients and directional guidance.
  • Working directly with the customer as part of a team to provide conflict resolution at our client’s premises where there is potential for conflict.
  • Working closely with your fellow colleagues to ensure members of the public comply with site rules and guidance.
  • Use common sense and initiative immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
  • To have a smart appearance, always be alert and visible whilst commanding a security presence within the customer premises.
  • Be able to administer First Aid assistance if a member of public or client’s staff was to be suddenly taken unwell (training will be provided).
  • Complete legible incident report writing if and when an incident arises.
  • Work to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • SIA License.
  • 5-year checkable work/career history.
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport is essential.
  • Prior experience of working in a customer-facing environment and dealing directly with staff/customers.
  • Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to adapt.
  • Security and operational system competence.
