Bardsleys Garage & Recovery Ltd are a commercial vehicle workshop based in Atherton Manchester, having just celebrated our 60th year in business we pride ourselves on producing top quality customer service. We specialise in fleet vehicle maintenance of all vehicle sizes, makes and models, operating two garages each having its own specialism including a class 4 & 7 mot lane.

Due to business development and rapid growth, we are looking for qualified HGV Technician to join our company.
Overview We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Duties
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Carry out MOT preparation. Perform diagnostics to identify issues using schematics and electrical experience. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and equipment repair. Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used for inventory management. Undertake heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HGV maintenance and repair. Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting methods for HGVs. Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance and Repair Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
Working hours
Monday - Friday Choice of working times , 7am-4pm, 8am- 5pm, 9am - 6pm Overtime available
Pay to be dependent on relevant experience and knowledge, and to be discussed at interview
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,500.00-£45,000.00 per year
