We are looking for an experienced
Straight Line Glue Operator to join our finishing team.
You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining gluing machinery to produce high-quality food and pharmaceutical packaging while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate straight line gluing machines to customer specifications.
Monitor production quality and make machine adjustments as required.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report any faults or breakdowns.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Carry out line clearances and machine clean-downs between jobs.
Support, train, and supervise Gluing Assistants where required.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, health & safety, and quality compliance.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience operating folder gluer or straight line gluing machinery.
Manufacturing experience, ideally within the print or packaging industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office experience desirable).
Desirable
Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Experience working within food, pharmaceutical, or regulated packaging environments. Personal Attributes

Working Hours
36.50 per week working on a continental shift pattern, which involves working 3 x 12 hour 10 minute shifts per week rotating around days and nights (5.50am to 6pm/5.50pm to 6am).
