The Birches Medical Centre is a busy, family-focused, innovative and hard-working practice. There is a diverse patient population of around 4000 patients. The practice offers comprehensive general medical services either directly or through local commissioning arrangements to the local population including:
- Contraceptive and sexual health services
- Diabetic, asthma, COPD, heart condition, stroke and other chronic illness clinics and support
- Maternity and health visiting services
- Care home visiting [as part of a wider Network arrangement]
- Travel health
- Immunisation and vaccination clinics
The Birches Medical Centre is a GMS Practice and under the management of BARDOC Limited.
Main duties of the job
Managing a caseload and dealing with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients on the Practice list.

Qualifications
- Qualified GP MRCGP Vocational Training Certificate or Equivalent General Practitioner
- On Medical Performers List
- Willing to undertake continuous personal development and ongoing mandatory training modules
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Experience of appraisal in practice or other healthcare setting
- Additional clinical skills beyond General Practice
