BARDOC is seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director to its Board. The successful candidate will provide independent oversight, strategic guidance, and constructive challenge to support the organisation in delivering safe, effective, and sustainable urgent care services. Main duties of the job:

Person Specification:
Experience:
- Experience of working within the healthcare sector.
- A strong understanding of urgent care and unscheduled care services.
- Board level experience, preferably within a healthcare or public sector organisation.
- Understanding and experience of neighbourhood models and integrated care delivery.
- Experience of working with the voluntary sector.
- Experience of governance within the healthcare sector.
- Commercial experience and awareness.
- Knowledge and understanding of primary and community care services.
- Previous experience of chairing committees or sub-committees.
- Understanding of how organisations such as BARDOC are funded and operate financially, including income streams, cost pressures, and financial sustainability within healthcare settings.
- Experience of working within the charitable sector.
