Rock Healthcare are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and a great team player to join our friendly Practice as a Patient Advisor. In the patient advisor role, you will be front-of-house at our primary reception desk and will be responsible for welcoming visitors and managing patient enquiries on a daily basis. It is crucial to provide outstanding service to all patients, both over the phone and in person, whilst addressing any concerns and minimising complaints to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction. This vacancy is for 32 hours per week between 08:00 and 18:30, Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
- Checking in and registering patients;
- Ordering medications / Prescription processing;
- Scheduling appointments;
- Coordinating home visits;
- Navigating Clinical software systems.
Additionally, staff members are expected to participate in monthly Practice meetings, taking minutes and preparing agendas as needed.

The site is a modern, purpose-built premises, containing a variety of primary care services to meet the needs of the local population. Communication
- Must have excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Be an excellent problem solver and de-escalate complaints.
- Be a team player and also be able to work using own initiative.
Experience
- Experience of working in an office environment.
- Minimum 1 years experience of working in a GP Practice.
- Minute taking experience.
Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent [Mathematics & English].
Previous Experience / Training
- Experience of working with the public in a fast paced environment.
- Microsoft Word and Excel literate.
- Experience in handling a high volume of calls and dealing with a variety of enquiries.
- Familiarity with Emis and Docman; Previous history of working in a healthcare setting.
Inter-Personal Skills
Must be able to work as part of a team and contribute to Practice meetings. The successful candidate will be required to present on occasions and take minutes / prepare agendas.
