The team are looking for a payroll leader who thrives on continuous improvement, someone who's managed third-party payroll delivery hands-on, not from a distance.
The ideal person will have been through a payroll transformation before and know what \"system delivery\" actually looks like on the ground, not just on a project plan.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- Lead the design and rollout of a centralised payroll operating model, creating a single point of ownership with consistent, streamlined processes and standards.
- Drive payroll transformation initiatives, including system upgrades, process automation and transitions to new ways of working.
- Design and oversee a robust payroll control framework covering reconciliations, approvals, exception handling and issue resolution.
- Act as payroll subject matter expert on major HR systems projects, ensuring payroll requirements are built into new platforms from the outset.
- Ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing across all operating locations, keeping pace with local employment and tax requirements.
- Establish SLAs, KPIs and governance frameworks to manage payroll risk and maintain consistent service quality group-wide.
- Manage ongoing service performance through structured reviews and escalation processes.
- Provide strong leadership across the payroll function, building a culture of accountability, expertise and continuous improvement.
- Champion continuous improvement in payroll processes and systems, applying best-practice methodologies to drive efficiency.
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit and external auditors to keep payroll aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Own payroll data integrity and reporting, ensuring accurate information underpins business decisions and statutory obligations.
- Act as the key strategic and operational contact for external payroll partners.
