Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and detail-orientedTheatrical Marketing & Distribution CoordinatorEMEA to lead and execute programs that drive brand awareness, influence moviegoer purchasing behaviors, ensure operational excellence in international movie distribution practices, and deliver audience engagement across the cinema exhibition and distribution ecosystem in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role will be instrumental in promoting Barco’s cutting-edge cinema technologies, including laser projection (Laser by Barco) and premium cinema experiences (HDR by Barco), via partnership activities with Barco’s top cinema accounts and international studio partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Title Marketing & Regional Campaign Management:
    • Coordinate regional in-theatre marketing campaigns, including promotional materials, events, and experiential activations, to encourage moviegoers to want to see their next film in a cinema experience “by Barco” (both laser and HDR).
    • Track and report on campaign effectiveness, using data to inform and refine future initiatives.
    • Document and verify approvals for local ‘by Barco’ co-branded title marketing assets, ensuring compliance with studio partner IP and addressing any non-compliance issues in the region.
    • Maintain clear communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on marketing objectives & activities.
  • International HDR by Barco Versioning & Localization Support:
    • Oversee localization timelines and deliverables, including dubs, subtitles, textless elements, and territory-specific compliance needs.
    • Manage version tracking across markets to ensure regional delivery specifications are met.
    • Maintain up-to-date logs and delivery trackers for multiple international versions to streamline the localization process.
  • HDR by Barco Distribution & Delivery Coordination:
    • Coordinate final asset deliveries to distribution partners, ensuring formats and metadata meet technical requirements.
    • Liaise with internal teams (QC, mastering, platform ops) to ensure timely handoff of approved content, aligning with Studio teams and other stakeholders.
    • Track key distribution milestones and confirm delivery completion for each title and version.
  • Exhibitor Relations & Brand Consistency:
    • Build and maintain relationships with EMEA exhibitors to drive attendance and box office performance, working closely with the Barco Head of Studio Marketing Partnerships and international distribution partners to support regional execution of global strategies.
    • Ensure all moviegoer-facing marketing touchpoints in the region align with Barco’s brand standards, offering recommendations for guideline improvement and refinement to support scalable operations.
  • Regional Coordination:
    • Work closely with internal teams (creative, digital, PR, etc.) to support the realization of cohesive campaigns, commissioning or supporting special projects, such as premieres, where needed.
    • Coordinate regular updates and strategic meetings with internal and external stakeholders, involving cross-functional, regional, and global Barco Cinema teams as needed.
    • Oversee a regional budget and analyze performance to optimize ROI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Film Studies, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in theatrical marketing, film distribution, or entertainment technology.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in other European languages preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed; up to 50%.
