At Barco Immersive Experiences (IX), our goal is to unlock the creative power of technology to deliver immersive experiences, from Simulation to Projection Mapping, from Live Events to Themed Entertainment – enabled by Projection, Virtual Reality, and Image Processing
Based in South-Eastern Norway, Barco Fredrikstad is a leading R&D site and Center of Excellence for high end simulation projectors.
As an FPGA developer:
You will be participating in a team creating future SW, HW and FPGA solutions for our projectors in cooperation with the R&D team in Fredrikstad and Belgium and our other sites in USA, Germany, India and China
You will join a team in Fredrikstad which consists of 2 FPGA developers and works in close collaboration with the Belgium FPGA team, which currently consist of 4 people.
You will work in close collaboration with our SW and HW teams. Skills, experience and interest in SW and/or HW design is highly appreciated.
You will participate in the whole development process from idea and concept to implementation and verification and all the way to mass production.
You will work with Continuous Integration with the use of structural test benches.
You will participate in developing high end image processing solutions such as
Geometrical correction
Multi-channel blending
You will work with high speed FPGA technology and protocols such as
Transceiver technology
HDMI
DisplayPort
V-by-One
Qualifications and personal qualities:
Bachelor/Master degree or well documented relevant experience.
Experience in architecture and VHDL implementation
Experience in FPGA tool chain and ModelSim is preferred
Fluent communication skills in Norwegian and/or English
Analytical skills
Structured and diligent
Scripting languages like Python and/or TCL
Solution-oriented
Practical and capable of using laboratory tools and measurement equipment
Demonstrate a driving ability in both teamwork as well as individually
