Why the Compliance Graduate programme?
As one of the world’s largest and most respected full-service banks, Barclays has a huge responsibility, to millions of people, to do the right thing. That’s why the work we do in Compliance really matters. A broad-ranging, multi-disciplinary function, Compliance oversees the way Barclays does business. This means satisfying the ever-evolving demands of the banking regulators, as well as maintaining our own standards and codes of conduct and protecting our reputation in the world. Compliance is essential to every business, every function, every team and every location. That gives us a broad understanding of the global business: we see the big picture, and we touch on every facet of the bank’s operations.
This is your chance to be part of a positive, proactive team doing fascinating, challenging and rewarding work of great importance – and huge variety. Compliance people research and investigate. We gather, study and analyse complex data from a wide range of sources. We follow leads, identify risks, evaluate threats and predict trends that will define the future. We’re involved in surveillance and control, product design and implementation. We are trusted, influential advisers in every area of our global business – simply put, without Compliance, Barclays could not operate. To be considered for this opportunity, you’ll be motivated with a strong degree or expected degree – in any area.
You’ll also have a genuine passion for Compliance and an enthusiastic mindset will empower you to thrive and make an impact—regardless of your role. Combine that with a customer-first attitude, adaptability, and a hunger to learn new technologies, and you’ll be well-positioned to drive meaningful results
