Recruiting AI, Data and Privacy for Tech Startups and Digital Enterprise

You’ll be empowered to run with your thoughts and make decisions that you believe in. Your line is there if and when you need, but they are not directive at all, allowing you to really make an impact on the business\’s strategy. The business has a real drive for innovation and you\’ll be crucial in steering where they\’re headed and making sure we stand out and keep growing.

You\’ll take ownership of EMEA privacy initiatives, shaping strategy with your ideas and expertise. You’ll guide senior leaders on emerging privacy risks and drive compliance across a major financial services landscape, giving you high-level influence and visibility.

Working hybrid from London, you’ll balance deep-focus strategy days with collaborative sessions.

Annual bonus of 10% of salary. You’ll also get a £1,000 annual development budget to spend on certifications, coaching or tools.

This is a privacy leadership position with scope to grow your regional and global impact. You’ll build strong relationships across business units and governance teams, embedding privacy-by-design across technology, operations and third-party risk.

What you\’ll do

You’ll lead privacy operations across EMEA, working with key stakeholders to embed compliance and data governance at pace. You’ll shape privacy frameworks, manage regulatory alignment and oversee critical functions like DSARs, PIAs and breach response.

Partnering with technical and operational teams, you’ll identify risks and drive remediation. You’ll also own vendor privacy assessments and the regional configuration of OneTrust, ensuring tools and processes scale effectively.

What you\’ll need

  • Extensive knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, and other regional privacy and data governance regulations, including those related to central banks from a financial services environment.
  • Experience in managing privacy programs or data protection / governance initiatives within the financial services sector.
  • Proficiency with privacy management platforms, such as OneTrust.
  • IAPP CIPP/E certification.
