A global financial services organisation seeks a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to help build the next generation of data-driven security capabilities at exceptional scale. This is a senior (Director grade) individual contributor position. The role requires a candidate with deep cyber expertise and elite hands-on software engineering ability, who still wants to spend around 40-50% of their time coding.
You will work on complex security challenges across threat detection, anomaly identification, cyber automation and advanced analytics, turning vast volumes of security telemetry into practical protection. The ideal candidate may come from a security product vendor, cyber start-up, red team/offensive security background, or a large-scale engineering environment where cybersecurity, data and software genuinely intersect.
You will be a senior thought leader who is looking for a role which offers the opportunity to influence engineering direction, lead technical workshops, raise standards across teams and help solve cutting-edge problems that do not have obvious off-the-shelf answers. This is a rare opportunity for a cyber-minded principal engineer who wants to build, challenge, influence and operate at serious scale as an IC technical leader.
