We are supporting a respected organisation operating within the motor finance industry to appoint a Regulation & Motor Finance Lead. This role has been created as part of an expanding policy function and offers a rare opportunity to take ownership of a complex and fast-moving regulatory agenda. You will act as the internal and external lead on motor finance regulation, shaping policy positions, influencing regulators and supporting members through significant change.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading on regulatory and legislative developments affecting motor finance and consumer credit
- Developing and owning policy positions, consultation responses and guidance
- Acting as a key point of contact with regulators, government departments and senior stakeholders
- Translating complex regulation into clear, practical insight for internal and external audiences
- Working closely with compliance, research and public affairs colleagues to deliver joined-up outcomes
- Representing the organisation independently at industry forums, working groups and events
About you:
- Background in public policy, regulation, financial services, motor finance or a related field
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fluid, high-pressure environment
- Strong written and verbal communicator, able to influence at senior levels
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
