We're partnering with an established, regulated financial services group to appoint a Director of Enterprise Risk , a senior second-line leadership role at a pivotal moment in the organisation's growth.
This role is explicitly designed as the successor to the Chief Risk Officer .
It demands both strategic authority and genuine technical depth, sitting at the heart of the business as it scales and diversifies its product offering, including digital assets, crypto and AI-driven propositions.
What you'll own The design, evolution and delivery of the enterprise-wide risk management framework: risk taxonomy, appetite statements and tolerance thresholds, working alongside the CRO, CFO and Board Risk Committee.
Second-line oversight of technology and operational risk, including cyber, infrastructure, data, change, and operational resilience (DORA / important business services).
The ICARA process and operational risk capital quantification, including stress-testing and scenario analysis under MIFIDPRU.
New product and innovation risk partnership across crypto, digital assets and AI-powered features, building proportionate controls in from inception.
Risk governance forums, Board-level reporting, and engagement with internal audit, external auditors and the FCA.
Leadership of the Enterprise Risk team and a mandate to drive meaningful risk-culture change.
What we're looking for Significant progressive experience in enterprise and/or operational risk within regulated financial services, spanning both second-line and senior leadership.
Deep command of UK regulatory requirements: FCA, MIFIDPRU, Consumer Duty, SYSC, SM
