We are currently supporting a well-established motor finance organisation on a key hire within their governance and compliance function. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle rental or fleet operations to step into a role with broader, strategic impact across a national network.
This role sits at the intersection of operations, governance and compliance, with responsibility for overseeing standards across a portfolio of rental and fleet partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and evolving standards, policies and codes of conduct across the rental network
- Overseeing a national audit & inspection programme (~240 audits annually)
- Reviewing audit findings, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Engaging with partner organisations to ensure standards are commercially viable and operationally effective
- Managing third-party audit providers and a small internal team
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong operational experience within vehicle rental, fleet, or mobility
- Experience at a regional, area or senior operations level
- A deep understanding of commercial drivers within rental or fleet businesses
- Experience managing teams, performance, and operational delivery
- The ability to translate operational insight into governance, standards and best practice
Exposure to compliance, audit or regulatory frameworks would be advantageous, but is not essential.
