This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining and strengthening the firm's business continuity and operational risk frameworks, as well as supporting the retention of their ISO 22301 certification. This is a diverse and hands-on role, best suited to someone with proven expertise in multi-discipline risk management within a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business continuity planning and response across the firm.
- Conduct policy reviews, risk assessments, and business impact analyses to ensure frameworks remain aligned to the firm's strategy and risk profile.
- Oversee incident management, business continuity, and technology recovery planning, using specialist third-party tools.
- Deliver and monitor the testing and exercising programme, capturing lessons learned and driving improvements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits to maintain ISO 22301 certification.
- Manage and update standard materials for client requests and audit responses.
- Produce management information and reporting for senior stakeholders and committees.
- Track emerging risks, industry developments, and best practice to keep the firm well-prepared.
- Coordinate incident response with colleagues across the business.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours on-call support where required.
- Support administration of the firm's general insurance programme.
Candidate Profile
- A strong track record in developing and embedding business continuity frameworks.
- 3-5 years' relevant experience, including incident management and ISO 22301 exposure.
- The ability to identify and explain key threats and propose practical mitigations.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and drive adoption of best practice.
- Strong written skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Initiative and adaptability, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguity.
- A problem-solving mindset, with creativity in finding effective solutions.
