A Part Time Information Governance & Compliance Officer (22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week) is sought for a leading mental health business in the West Midlands.
About the Role
The Information Governance and Compliance Officer will support the delivery and continuous improvement of information governance across a growing healthcare organisation, ensuring compliance with UK data protection legislation, NHS standards, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the CITO (SIRO) and external Data Protection Officer, you will take ownership of day-to-day information governance activities across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Support compliance with UK GDPR, NHS standards, and the DSP Toolkit
- Provide guidance on information rights requests and data breaches
- Develop and maintain information governance policies and documentation
- Build effective relationships with NHS bodies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in an NHS or healthcare information governance role, with strong knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and NHS data security standards.
