A well-established international bank with a London branch is seeking a Compliance Manager to take ownership of its Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP). This role sits within a small, high-performing regulatory compliance team and reports to the Deputy Head of Compliance. The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering monitoring activity, liaising with key stakeholders, and supporting broader regulatory initiatives. This is an opportunity to shape and elevate the second line within a bank that has invested heavily in improving its compliance and control environment in recent years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the execution of the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan
- Conduct regulatory compliance reviews and support follow-up of action items
- Monitor adherence to UK regulatory requirements across business lines
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including risk, legal, audit, and operations
- Contribute to compliance training, advisory, and policy review activity
- Support regulatory engagement and audit preparation where needed
- Promote a strong culture of compliance across the business
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years' experience in regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on compliance monitoring
- Experience in designing or owning a CMP is essential
- Familiarity with UK banking regulation and governance expectations (FCA/PRA)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a lean team and taking initiative
- Experience in both retail and corporate banking is beneficial but not essential
