This is a hands-on role in the performance measurement and analysis function within an investment management firm. The role combines technical expertise with stakeholder engagement to design and maintain a robust performance framework, create and own performance analysis methodologies, develop reporting tools, and provide insights to guide investment decisions. This is a new position within the risk function, offering an opportunity to shape the performance measurement and reporting process from the ground up.

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Performance Manager to play a pivotal role in the performance measurement and analysis function within an investment management firm. This hands-on position combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to design and maintain a robust performance framework across the organization. The role will involve creating and owning performance analysis methodologies, developing reporting tools, and providing valuable insights to guide investment decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive performance framework that is embedded across all relevant functions.
  • Design and own performance analysis methodologies and reporting standards, ensuring consistency and best practices.
  • Create and maintain performance reports and dashboards tailored for different audiences, including senior leadership and committees.
  • Oversee the production of performance data and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact for performance-related queries across the organization.
  • Collaborate effectively with investment managers, senior leadership, and the Risk and Compliance teams to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external service providers to ensure data integrity and service quality.
  • Work with junior team members and IT to enhance performance models, systems, and automated workflows.
  • Contribute to the creation and development of an inclusive culture, collaborating across functions and ensuring integration of ESG risks, particularly climate change policy, into risk management processes.
Qualifications
  • Experience in asset management or investment management is essential.
  • Expertise in performance and attribution methodologies for multi-asset portfolios.
  • Solid knowledge of financial markets, investment processes, and financial instruments, including both private and public markets.
  • Familiarity with investment accounting and investment data, including accounting systems.
  • Technical experience and programming capabilities are advantageous.
  • A strong interest in multi-asset investing and continuous professional development.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent ability to design and develop analytical capabilities.
  • A strong compliance-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Aladdin, is desirable.
  • Performance, risk, or investment qualifications are beneficial.
Working Pattern

This is a full-time role, although part-time arrangements will be considered. The office is located at Canary Wharf, and hybrid working is available with at least two days a week in the office.
