With a strong focus on governance, accountability and continuous improvement, the organisation is undergoing significant transformation across its finance function, creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced governance professional to play a key role in shaping and strengthening financial oversight and controls. Role OverviewReporting into senior finance leadership, the Senior Financial Governance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial governance activities across the organisation.
Acting as a central point of contact for financial governance matters, this role will support the continued development of governance frameworks, risk management processes and financial controls, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory and internal requirements.
The position offers broad exposure across finance, risk, audit and executive-level stakeholders.
Day to Day ActivitiesOversee and enhance financial governance frameworks, policies and controls across the organisationManage and coordinate internal audit activity, ensuring effective engagement with auditors and stakeholdersMonitor financial risk management processes and provide assurance on the effectiveness of the control environmentSupport governance reporting and committee activities, including Board and Audit Committee mattersEnsure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and evolving governance obligationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditorsSupport the development of ESG reporting, business continuity planning and wider governance initiativesProvide guidance, mentoring and training to strengthen financial risk and control awareness across the businessExperience NecessarySignificant experience within financial governance, risk management or financial controls in a regulated environmentStrong understanding of governance frameworks, regulatory xrnqpay requirements and best practice within financial services or similarly regulated sectorsProven experience managing relationships with internal audit, external audit and senior stakeholdersQualifications & Skills NeededRelevant professional qualification in finance, audit, risk or governance is desirableExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levelsStrong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvementWhat Next...If this sounds like you please apply with a copy of your CV.
