As a Group Tax Manager, your key responsibilities will be to work with our external advisors to manage UK and overseas compliance, support the Global Head of Tax with ad hoc projects, and work with the wider team on tax and finance automation.

Principal Responsibilities
- Liaising and managing external advisors on UK and International tax compliance, including CFC and transfer pricing across the UK, US, Canada, South Africa and Spain.
- Calculating the tax figures and disclosure notes for inclusion in the statutory accounts and end of year reporting for the worldwide group.
- Computing quarterly tax instalment payments due.
- Assisting Head of Tax with SAO compliance.
- Working with Head of Tax and other Directors of Finance with tax planning and forecasting.
- Preparation of UK VAT returns and overseeing preparation of overseas VAT/sales tax returns.
- Preparation of ERS returns and supporting the wider business on employment tax matters.
- Ability to transition to digital tax technologies and solutions.
- Supporting the Head of Tax with UK and International tax planning, which could include restructuring, reorganisation, new commercial contracts and cross-border tax matters.
- Supporting the business with timely provision of Certificates of Residence and other tax documentation to minimise withholding tax on cross-border invoices.
- Liaising with the wider business on ad hoc day-to-day queries.
Skills, Competencies and Experiences
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong numeracy skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise work to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrate a willingness and aptitude to adopt new technologies
- Competent MS Office user, particularly Microsoft Excel
- A working knowledge of Business Central, Alteryx and Alphatax or OneSource is desirable
- Holding a recognised tax and/or accountancy qualification (ideally CTA / ACA)
- Ability to work flexibly to cope with the varying workload pressure
- Proactive with the ability to think analytically
