My client is a cutting-edge medical technology spinout from the University of Southampton, led by a team of seasoned entrepreneurs and scientists. They have developed a revolutionary microfluidic test that slashes antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) times from over 48 hours to just 3 hours, helping clinicians fight antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a global health crisis claiming more than 1 million lives annually. I am seeking a part-time (15-20 hours/week), experienced Marketing Manager to lead and deliver their full marketing strategy as they prepare to launch their game-changing technology in the UK (2025) and internationally (US: 2026/27). Who this role would suit: We\’re looking for a strategic and hands-on marketing professional with a strong track record in diagnostics, preferably with experience in Pathology or Microbiology. You will likely: Hold a good degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Life Sciences, Bio-medical Science, Marketing with MedTech focus) Bring proven experience in B2B healthcare or diagnostics marketing, including product launch planning Thrive in a fast-paced, agile, startup environment where innovation, speed, and high standards are the norm Be a self-starter who can work autonomously while engaging and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Be a strong communicator, equally confident writing scientific marketing content and managing third-party vendorsKey Responsibilities: Lead the development and delivery of the companies marketing strategy across multiple channels Plan and execute campaigns involving digital content, PR, KOL engagement, webinars, tradeshows, and industry conferences Create and manage content across media platforms including: Website, LinkedIn, brochures, press releases, technical collateral Work closely with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Engineering, Operations) as well as external vendors, printers, and event organisers Act as the marketing lead for all pre-launch and launch activitiesWhy join ?
