Global FMCG manufacturing business require an Indirect Buyer to lead procurement activity across FM, MRO, maintenance, HVAC or Capex spend areas. Applicants need indirect procurement experience, ideally within FM or facilities.

The Indirect Buyer will join a successful and high-performing team of Buyers and Senior Buyers reporting to a Procurement Manager. The Indirect Buyer will have ownership of the FM and facilities category spend area which includes hard/soft FM, capex, HVAC, MRO, and maintenance contracts.

Specific duties of the Indirect Buyer include:

  • Supply market intelligence activities across the FM and Facilities spend areas
  • Manage supplier relationships, holding regular performance and innovation review meetings
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives and negotiate contracts to drive value
  • Participate in RFPs, tenders, and internal/external audits
  • Administer purchase orders, resolve invoice discrepancies, and maintain accurate records
  • Continuously improve purchasing practices and support strategic procurement projects

Indirect Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous procurement experience in indirect category areas; particularly FM and facilities or related
  • Ability to add commercial value to the team - negotiate contracts, manage tenders and SRM
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement skills - understand internal requirements
  • Experience with procurement/sourcing tools, MRP/ERP etc.
  • Proactive, positive and motivated self-starter
