The Head of Supply Chain oversees logistics operations, ensuring the seamless management of the supply chain from sourcing goods to final customer delivery. This role is pivotal in enhancing logistics efficiency, overseeing transportation, and collaborating with suppliers and customers to uphold product quality and meet delivery deadlines.\\n\\nRole – Head of Supply Chain – FMCG (Food) \\n\\nLocation – London\\n\\nType – Permanent\\n\\nSalary – £80,000-£100,000 + bonus + benefits\\n\\nKey responsibilities of the Head of Supply Chain / Head of Supply Chain – FMCG (Food) role will include not be limited to:\\n\\nStrategic Planning – Develop and implement logistics strategies that support the company's goals, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency, sustainability, and excellent customer service.\\nTransport Management – Oversee all transport operations, maintain strong relationships with freight carriers, and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.\\nWarehouse Operations – Manage warehouse processes to ensure efficient storage, inventory control, and distribution, ensuring products are handled and stored correctly.\\nSupply Chain Coordination – Work closely with Trade, Finance, and Quality teams to align logistics with sourcing and demand planning, ensuring smooth operations.\\nCustomer Service – Implement high-quality service standards and collaborate with the trade team to explore new ways of engaging with customers and growing the business.\\nQuality Assurance – Ensure all logistics activities comply with safety and quality regulations, maintaining product integrity throughout transportation and storage.\\nInventory Management – Maintain optimal stock levels, using just-in-time practices to balance availability with demand while avoiding excess stock.\\nCost Management – Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency while maintaining high operational standards.\\nRisk Management – Identify potential risks, such as supply chain disruptions or compliance issues, and implement strategies to mitigate them.\\nTeam Leadership – Lead and support the logistics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. \\n\\nKey skills and experience required for Head of Supply Chain / Head of Supply Chain – FMCG (Food) and not limited to:\\n\\nProven track record in a similar Senior Supply Chain Management / Logistics oriented role, ideally FMCG sector background is preferred\\nStrong understanding of freight and warehousing\\nExperience with managing teams and ability to work with multilevel stakeholders\\nDemonstrated ability with solving complex problems using collaborative techniques.\\nExcellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).\\nStrong Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
