A global engineering manufacturing business requires a Supply Chain Manager.
Applicants need end-to-end supply chain expertise, deep knowledge of MRP/ERP, and gravitas.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for; purchasing, planning, logistics and stores.
Reporting to a General Manager, they will also sit on the site leadership team.
Providing leadership to 5 direct reports (15 indirect) across purchasing, planning, stores/logistics, the Supply Chain Manager will have ownership over MRP/ERP data and use this information to drive commercial decision-making.
Specific duties of the Supply Chain Manager include:
Develop and align site procurement/planning strategies with those at Group level
Drive improved performance and delivery from suppliers in terms of - Lead Time, Lot size, OTD etc.
Responsible for all stock and inventory on site - internal logistics, stock control, optimization etc.
Ownership of data held in ERP/MRP system and refine the way site uses ERP/MRP
Provide strategic leadership to direct reports and collaborate with stakeholders at site and group level
Supply Chain Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
Previous experience at managerial level - Procurement Manager, Planning Manager, Supply Chain Manager etc.
Experience gained within a manufacturing or engineering business - ideally within a group, or matrix structured organisation
Deep skill and knowledge in MRP/ERP and ability to use data to drive supply chain planning decisions
Demonstrable experience in developing and improving staff
Interest in continuous personal and professional development
