Financial Accountant – Revenue
Luton (3 days in office, 2 days from home)
500- 600 per day (Inside IR35 – Umbrella rate)
Contract Length: 6 months
We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant on a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role based in Luton, offering three days in the office and two days working from home.
You will join a fast-paced, innovative organisation and support the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Manager in delivering accurate month-end and quarterly revenue results. The role involves ownership of key judgements, maintaining confidence in the numbers, and communicating risks and opportunities to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post month-end journals in line with accounting standards.
Review balance sheet accounts with supporting schedules, demonstrating understanding of financial positions.
Maintain accurate revenue accounting and confidence in results.
Manage accounting for credit files, refund shells, and credit vouchers.
Account for key revenue areas, including revenue recognition, VAT, credit card reconciliations, and other reconciliations.
Contribute to Half Year and Year-End audits.
Support revenue-related projects and system developments.
Assist across Revenue Accounting and Commercial Finance as necessary.
Skills/Qualifications:
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
Ability to explain complex financial matters to finance and non-finance colleagues.
Time management across multiple tasks and projects.
Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong academic record.
Proven experience working in a large turnover organisation.
