Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Financial Accountant & Credit Controller to join their Finance department on a fixed-term basis. This dual role involves managing the company's financial records, reporting processes, cash management, and credit control function, ensuring accurate financial accounting and effective credit management practices to support healthy cash flow and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for credit control, including implementing new credit management processes
- Monitor accounts receivable and actively manage the credit control process to reduce debtor days and minimise financial risk exposure
- Preparation of Monthly Credit Review presentations and meeting notes
- Weekly overdue forecasting to corporate
- Liaise with the shared services AR team
- Engage in trade finance activities, such as liaising with commercial offices and customer support management
- Organise and conduct weekly forecasting meetings for cash and overdue forecasts
- Prepare and post accurate monthly payroll journal entries and manage payroll-related returns to HMRC
Job Requirements:
- Level 3 AAT qualified, or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
- Experience within a similar finance role, with expertise in credit control
- Knowledge of and experience with accounting systems, including general ledger experience (SAP preferable)
- Strong financial accounting entry requirements and financial reporting rules compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Suite products
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
