The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

This role will be based throughout the Republic of Ireland and, when required, Northern Ireland. The position is for a Telecoms Engineer responsible for installing and maintaining company phone systems throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and termination of data cabling (Cat5e, Cat6) onto patch panels and floorside data modules, installation of trunking, back boxes, faceplates.
  • Installation of company VOIP systems (Gamma Horizon, WebEx for Gamma, iPECS Cloud, 3CX) and configuration of Draytek and Ubiquiti routers (WAN, LAN, VPN, VLAN, Firewall, WiFi).
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of all company VOIP systems and WiFi access points.
  • Site visits for fault diagnosis and resolution, documenting all actions taken.
  • Working as part of the Engineering team, supporting fellow engineers and support staff with all aspects of company systems.
  • Daily management of company van and all stock within.
  • Ownership of jobs through to conclusion, ensuring customers are trained and fully understand the system provided.
  • Working at heights; use of power and hand tools (drill, drivers, SDS drills, etc.).

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience of network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6) running, terminating and troubleshooting.
  • Router configuration experience, preferably with Draytek.
  • Proven experience in installing and maintaining PBX, VoIP, SIP and DECT telephony solutions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management skills; ability to work alone or as part of a team and complete all documentation related to jobs.
  • Full driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Experience with power and hand tools (drill, drivers, SDS drills, etc.).
  • Working at heights (certification or equivalent).

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with analogue telephone wiring (multi-core, DP work).
  • Experience with Gamma Horizon, 3CX, iPECS Cloud, and WebEx for Gamma VOIP systems, including building, programming, and provisioning all systems and phones.
  • CSR card or equivalent.
  • Working at heights certification or equivalent.
