As a Team Leader at a Barchester care home, you will help to make our residents' lives stimulating and fulfilling so that we can deliver the person-centred care and support they deserve. You will lead and supervise our Carers and Senior Carers, ensuring individual care plans are followed and that each resident has quality one-on-one time. The role also involves some clinical responsibilities, and you will be a role model for your team and a trusted provider of a safe, reassuring, and happy environment for our residents and their families.
Main duties of the job:
- Lead and supervise Carers and Senior Carers with the support of a Registered Nurse or Care Practitioner.
- Ensure individual care plans are followed to achieve the highest standards.
- Provide quality one-to-one time for each resident.
- Record observations on weight and blood pressure, and carry out simple wound dressing procedures.
- Be a role model for your team and provide a safe, reassuring, and happy environment.
About you:
You will need senior-level care experience to join us as a Team Leader. You will have supervised others and developed a good understanding of how to provide clinical care for older persons. A Level 3 NVQ or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care is required, along with a willingness to undertake the assessor qualification. Your caring approach and strong communication skills will inspire trust in others.
